Full Box Out Asphalt Repair – Mount Claremont Primary School

Today we completed a full box out asphalt repair at Mount Claremont Primary School for K2 Build WA. These works were required to repair a damaged play area within the school grounds.

A “full box out” is where the damaged area is completely removed and road base is installed & compacted before the normal asphalt patch is done. This stable base ensures longevity for the repaired area.

Thanks to our technicians Daniel and Clarke for a job well done and thank you to our friends at K2 Build WA for engaging us to do the work.

Quick fact / Did you know?

Have you ever noticed the lack of puddles or water on a major Motorway or Freeway during or after heavy rainfall? This is due to the use of open grade asphalt which is a porous asphalt mix formulated to provide large voids (in excess of 20 per cent) to allow surface water to drain away and hence increase safety for the motorist.
